Mehendi / Mehndi Blog, Designs for Mehandi, Latest Updates on Heena,Mehndi,Tattoo, Body Art..by Mehendi Expert: Rashmi Jain
This one is one of my all time favorites. It is the most detailed and intricate, as well as, the most time consuming and exhausting design to produce for the artist. Pakistani mehendi / mehndi is known for it’s detailed and fine fill-ins. If you really want to question an artist’s abilities, ask them to produce an incredibly beautiful Pakistani heena design. Of course it is really expensive, but it’s worth every penny. These designs are famous for being modeled Pakistani brides / dulhan, as well as close female family members and friends. Completing ONE SIDE of A HAND may take atleast 2 hours of time.

Mehndi / Mehendi is associated to lots of things – a good dark design is a sign of good luck for the marital couple. It is common for the names of the bride and groom to be hidden in the mehndi design; and the wedding night cannot commence until the groom has found the names. Some examples of popular traditional images used in mehndi / heena designs are the peacock, which is the national bird if India, the lotus flower, and an elephant with a raised trunk, which is a symbol of good luck.

Learning mehndi art / Mehendi Training: Henna is a body art, which is a simple process that can be learned with a few hours of practice. The more you apply henna tattoos the more you learn about the tricks and techniques that make a seasoned artist. While learning to do henna only one thing helps and that is practice and more practice till the artists hand becomes steady and free flowing. Like any art form mehndi also has certain problems which the artist will encounter on the way to learning and acquiring the knowledge to be a good mehndi artist.

Using your creative mind either you can create your own designs by squeezing the tip of the cone or you can buy some design books & stencils which are available in the mehndi parlors. Then try simple designs first and by practice you can put complicated patterns.
