Bridal mehndi is becoming an increasingly popular ingredient in western weddings. Many western brides love the look and lore of mendhi. At left Rachel’s hands show an Arabic style design the day of her wedding. The mehndi / henna (or mehendi ceremony) was done 2 days before her wedding.
The colour of bridal mehndi is very important as folklore states that marital love will be as deep and long-lasting as the colour.
The mehndi celebration is filled with fun and enjoyment as the family members and friends gathers to celebrate this lovely occasion. Not only the bride apply henna paints on her hand and feet but her friends and relatives also paints their hands with intricate and beautiful designs of henna paste or mehndi.
