Mystic mehendi on Id, Arabic henna design
Just before Id, women don their hands with intricate mehendi designs. But this year its the Arabic design that is most popular among women in Hyderabad. A Hyderabadi woman Vaishnavi Soni said, “Every year I fill my hands with Henna but this year I like the simple look. On Id I will stick kundun and glitter on it.”

Quick Tips for Arabic henna / mehendi design:
Clove oil is a must in the mehendi mixture for an Arabic design to run smoothly, and takes just an hour to dry. Then tapping some lemon and sugar syrup on the mehendi gives the darkest shade of red you desire.
Henna artist Rashmi Jain said, “Arabic design usually has flowers or leaves which looks so beautiful on hands”.
